2015 Tour

I just got back from my first tour and it has only confirmed that music is what I love and want to do with my life. The first few days were a little rough, adjusting to being on the road all day and playing a show every night, but I quickly got into a groove and began to relish in the adrenaline rush that came every night from performing. New York City was definitely a highlight. We got to walk around the city all day, checking out Times Square and stopping for a pint at a cute Scottish Pub. We then got to play in an atmospheric, cozy, lounge bar with a grand piano and red and purple lighting. The venue had crystal clear sound and a hilarious French sound guy named Jean-Pierre. After finishing the show there at 1:30 in the morning, we jumped in my car and drove to Emmaus PA for a radio interview. We stopped at McDonalds along the way for a tasty but oh-so-greasy snack. Still feeling a little guilty about it :P After three hours of sleep, we stepped into the radio station feeling excited but absolutely wiped. It was my first radio interview and it was actually really fun. Not as terrifying as I thought it might be. I also got to perform two of my acoustic songs live which was something I'd wanted to do for a long time (Interview starts at 1:42 http://www.americanamediapro.com/shows/112115sat.mp3). Over the course of two weeks, I learned a lot about how to run sound and how to prepare for anything that might happen to equipment or while on stage. I also feel that my stage presence and ability to command a crowd improved exponentially. Nothing like practice. I'm so grateful that I got the opportunity to tour and I'm already planning the next one :)
